The Regional Ministry of Education and Sports, through the Andalusian Public Education Agency, has put out to public tender for the amount of 11,339,998.88 euros the construction works of a new Integrated Center for Professional Training (CPIFP) of aerospace reference in La Rinconada (Seville). It is about the action of educational infrastructures of greater scope, in terms of the planned investment, of which the Andalusian Ministry is currently underway. Interested companies have until September 10 to present offers for this tender.
The future CPIFP of La Rinconada will be part of the professional family of Vehicle Transport and Maintenance and will be a reference center in Andalusia in education related to the aerospace sector, in order to respond to the needs of this strategic sector for the community. It will be able to accommodate a total of 900 students.
For the creation of this center, the Regional Ministry of Education and Sports and the City Council of La Rinconada signed a framework agreement in June 2020 by which the local corporation has drawn up the project with the supervision of the Andalusian Public Agency for Education, which is now putting out to tender the works. The center will offer a total of 12 training cycles, divided into three families or groups. Within the Transport and Vehicle Maintenance group, it will teach four medium-level cycles (CFGM) and four higher-level (CFGS): Technician in Assembly of Structures and Installation of Aeronautical Systems, Technician in Electromechanics of Motor Vehicles, Technician in Electromechanics of Machinery, Vehicle Bodywork Technician, Senior Technician in Aeronautical Maintenance of Turbine Engine Aircraft, Senior Technician in Aircraft Electronic and Avionic Systems Maintenance, Senior Technician of Aircraft Maintenance of Turbine Engine Helicopters and Senior Automotive Technician. From the Installation and Maintenance family, it will offer the CFGS in Industrial Mechatronics and within the Electricity and Electronics group it will teach the CFGM in Telecommunications Installations, the CFGS in Automation and Industrial Robotics and the CFGS in Electronic Maintenance.
The new teaching infrastructure will have a built area of 10,255 square meters distributed between a main building, for the classroom and administration area, and four warehouses for workshops. The main building will have three floors and a basement for parking and will have a teaching area, administration area, common services and outdoor spaces. On the ground floor the administration area and general use services will be located, such as concierge and reprographics; secretariat and archive; management offices, head of studies, students, associations of fathers and mothers and secretary; teacher and orientation rooms and toilets for teachers and non-teachers. There will also be an assembly hall with capacity for 200 people, study room, library and cafeteria.
As for the warehouses, numbers 1 and 2 will be used for the aeronautics program, the first of them with a totally diaphanous, hangar-like configuration. Halls 3 and 4 will house the automotive and maintenance / logistics training courses and all of them will be built in line, linked together by an open roof that will be fixed to the porch of the classroom building.
The construction period of the new center will be 18 months and will be carried out in two phases. In the first one, the building for classroom and administration will be built, as well as ships 1 and 2 of the aeronautical training courses. In the second phase, the construction of warehouses 3 (automotive) and 4 (maintenance / logistics) will be completed.
The construction of this new educational center is included within the Educational Infrastructures Plan of the Regional Ministry of Education and Sports, which is executed through the Andalusian Public Agency for Education, and has European co-financing through REACT-EU funds within of the Andalusian ERDF Operational Program 2014-2020, as part of the European Union’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
